Dr. David Pengelly, fondly known as “D.H.” to his students and colleagues, was a driving force behind the development of the University of Guelph Insect Collection. Although he retired in 1982 and has since passed away, the results of his collection efforts, along with those of his graduate students, continue to influence our understanding of the Ontario insect fauna.
